The Nevis Partnership is seeking to recruit a Conservation Officer for their Nevis Landscape Partnership programme. This varied and interesting role will suit a self-motivated individual with a proven interest in the environment and good practical conservation management skills, for example, woodland management, biological and habitat survey/recording, basic footpath maintenance and control of invasive species. You will have knowledge and experience of mountain environments and the habitats and species typical of the area and you will be keen to share this knowledge with school groups, visitors and volunteer groups.
A key aspect of the role will be the management of the Future Forests project and you will work closely with our partner organisations in most aspects of your work. A valid driving licence is essential and you should be IT competent.
The successful candidate will be offered the opportunity to participate in range of training courses and initiatives offered as part of our Training Project to further develop their skills. The closing date for applications is Friday 24th November, 17:00 and interviews will take place on Wednesday 6th December.
