"Sense of Place" for Glen Nevis
A project to develop and foster a Sense of Place in Glen Nevis, including tidying and defining the actual entrance to the Glen in a way which befits its status as the access point to one of the most renowned and beautiful Glens in Scotland, is finally underway, thanks to a grant from the European Regional Development Fund.
Sense of Place will also include further development of the Friends of Nevis volunteer base, new interpretation, leaflets and guides, production of a book of images and poems about Glen Nevis and a creative writing and photography portal linked to the Partnership’s website.
The Nevis Partnership has recently appointed a Project Manager for the whole scheme and serious work will start in August 2009. We plan to involve as many users, stakeholders and interested parties as possible in this long overdue project, so please keep an eye on this website for further developments.
